Tech Pacific has taken on the distribution of the Minolta-QMS printer range as part of its product portfolio.
The move will likely aid the vendor's intended move into the retail market by providing access to a number of new dealers. Tech Pacific will supply the complete Minolta-QMS printer range as well as all accessories and consumables.
According to Lorraine Cowan, Tech Pacific's category manager for printers, supplies and imaging, the deal ties in with the distributor's strategy of offering leading laser printing brands across all market segments. The Minolta-QMS product range includes lower-end monochrome laser printers through to multifunctional printer copiers and colour laser printers.
"This is an opportunity for Tech Pacific to solidify its position as the pre-eminent distributor in the developing colour laser market," Cowan said in a statement.
Minolta-QMS managing director Stuart Drysdale said the company was keen to expand its network and increase the company's presence in the Australian market.
"We are very keen to work with this range of new dealers," he said, adding the vendor would focus on increasing market share in the 10ppm and 18ppm mono and A4 colour print system category and particularly with its new magicolor 2200 DeskLaser product.
