State of the market

  • The markets dived on opening, following negative leads on Wall St. and in China. And they stayed down. At close of trading, the S&P/ASX200 was down 73.3 at 4644.6.
  • The Aussie dollar is up almost half a per cent and trades for $US0.9026. Gold is trading for $US1100 while oil is selling for $US74.6 a barrel.
