State of the market

  • The markets fell early on the back of a poor lead from Wall Stand then spent the rest of the day making inroads into the drop. At close of trading, the S&P/ASX200 was down 32.7 points at 4717.9.
  • The Aussie dollar is slowly crawling back from its recent slump and trades for $US0.9031. Gold prices have fallen a per cent to $US1092 an ounce while oil has devalued by 1.78 per cent to $US74.8 a barrel.
