State of the market

  • The markets have followed Wall St. on a sharp downward drop. At 11:43am, the S&P/ASX200 was down 83.3 points.
  • The Aussie dollar has become weaker and sells for $US0.9011. Gold is also down almost one per cent and trades at $US1103 an ounce. Oil prices have fallen almost two per cent, with prices hitting $US76.2 a barrel.
