ZULTYS RECEIVES TWO PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS
MX250 Rated World's Best IP PBX by Infoworld and Zip 4X5 IP Phone Receives Best Product of the Year from SearchNetworking.com

Sydney, Australia, 28 January 2005 – Zultys Technologies today announced that it has won two prestigious awards, one for its MX250 and one for its ZIP 4x5 IP Phone. The MX250 has won InfoWorld’s award for Best IP PBX in its Networking group, and the ZIP 4x5 IP Phone was the Gold Award winner in SearchNetworking.com’s converged networks solutions category.

“We’re very excited to win these awards as they confirm the market-leading status of the Zultys VoIP products,” says Tony Warhurst, Director of Business Development Oceania at Zultys. “The InfoWorld award reinforces the MX250’s position as a solution that is economical for a large corporation to deploy in multiple sites and small corporations to deploy in a single site.”

After testing the MX250, InfoWorld also highlighted the product’s open standards: “The good news about the Zultys MX250 is that it's completely standards-based. This is a pure SIP PBX. The bad news is ... well, there isn't any bad news.”

Warhurst continues: “The ZIP 4x5 is the world’s most functional IP phone—ideal for any business user, whether working in an office or remotely. The award from SearchNetworking.com backs this up.”

The MX250 Enterprise Media Exchange integrates voice, data, fax and video into a compact 2U box, with a single user interface. The MX250 combines an IP PBX with an Internet gateway, network server, and application server, bringing together call management, ACD, voice mail, auto attendant, instant messaging, presence, and firewall—all in one powerful system. Since it uses open standards, it is easy to install, deploy, and maintain, and fully interoperable with devices from other manufacturers. The MX250 delivers seamless communications to businesses and their employees and is especially suited to the Australian market.

The ZIP 4x5 provides all the telephony features that businesses require, and adds networking functionality, Bluetooth wireless, and voice activated dialling. For the remote worker, the ZIP 4x5 connects directly to a DSL or cable modem and provides VPN access, a firewall with NAT, a switch, and a router, all without additional, external devices. The ZIP 4x5 is built 100 percent on open standards and is compatible with any IP telephony system using SIP (Session Initiation Protocol).
