Following the departure of long-serving employee and managing director, David Foster, Harris Technology has appointed NetStar boss, Craig Dower, as its new Australian chief.
Dower, who was announced as the new boss to Harris staff last week, will take up the role on January 10.
He is currently working as the Australian managing director for Hong Kong-based networking solutions provider, NetStar, a position he assumed in February last year.
In an internal email, Harris Technology said Dower's leadership experience in the commercial IT product, services and outsourcing industry both across Australia and internationally were key reasons for his appointment.
Alongside his posting at NetStar, Dower has also worked with Lucent Technologies and EDS Australia.
As the new MD, Dower will report directly to OfficeWorks managing director, Laura Inman.
Foster announced he would resign from the top position at Harris Technology in September, after spending 27 years with the Coles Myer Group. His last day was October 31.
