State of the market

  • The markets were jittery early following negative signs from Wall St but recovered as the day progressed. At 2.35pm, the S&P/ASX200 was up 11.5 points at 4911.1
  • The Aussie dollar is trading lower at $US0.9208. Gold prices have also slipped just over a per cent to $US1131 an ounce while oil is down slightly to $US77.6 a barrel.
