Acronis gets new Australian chief

Simon Howe replaces Bill Taylor-Mountford who takes up an overseas posting

The Australian head of storage and disaster recovery vendor Acronis, Bill Taylor-Mountford, has been promoted to run its Asia-Pacific operations.

He has been replaced locally by national sales manager, Simon Howe, who oversaw corporate accounts and enterprise solutions.

Howe’s resume includes 15 years in the IT sales and management space including 10 years with Symantec. A replacement national sales manager hasn’t been announced.

In a statement, Taylor-Mountford said Howe’s proven sales management experience and strong channel relationships made him the right country manager for Acronis.

Taylor-Mountford, who was A/NZ general manager for three years, will be tasked with company strategy and direction, along with driving growth. He said his new regional agenda included providing more resources and support to the partner community, as well as reinforcing the vendor’s existing commitment to the market. He relocates to Singapore this month.

Acronis is distributed by SAN Systems, Manaccom and Datastor and has 400 resellers across A/NZ.
