Home-grown innovators can now apply for Government funding following the launch of Commercialisation Australia’s official website.
The $196 million Federal Government initiative is designed to help local companies pay for specialist advice and services, experienced executives and the early stages of product commercialisation.
“Commercialisation Australia is a merit-based, competitive assistance program and will support applications with the strongest commercial potential,” Minister for Innovation, Senator Kim Carr, said in a statement. “The first step for potential applicants is to visit the new Commercialisation Australia website and fill-in a pre-application checklist.”
With no deadline for submissions, companies can wait until the funding is required to apply. State and national-level case managers are also on hand to provide assistance.
ARN contacted the office of the Shadow Minister for Innovation, Sophie Mirabella, but was unable to raise comment by time of publication.
