The Nova 1250VA model comes from Eaton’s Pulsar series of PC, workstation and home AV automatic volt regulation (AVR) devices and is an uninterruptible power system (UPS). It acts to stabilise any potential fl uctuation of power levels and is designed to be used with sensitive electronics and computers, which can suffer if switched off without being properly shut down. The unit has a power rating of 500-1250VA and frequency of 50/60Hz. The tower unit is compact in size and is aimed at the SMB market with its Australian power points and USB communications. The Nova 1250VA contains batteries and a microprocessor to smooth any disturbance of electricity. Any Nova 1250VA comes with Eaton’s Personal Solution Pac software that monitors power levels. If a power outage is detected, it saves all ongoing processes before safely shutting the connected devices down once the battery power has been exhausted. Other features include remote monitoring, automatic voltage regulation, data line protection and a cold start function.
