Specialist security distributor, Microbe, has formed a partnership with eScan to target SMB customers.
The turnkey eScan solution covers a number of areas critical to the Microsoft Small Business Server line. It offers solutions for as few as five licences and integrates with Microsoft exchange.
Microbe sales and marketing director, Mark Hay, said the product line would fill a gap in its portfolio and allow it to provide complete solutions. He claimed interest from the distributor’s 1200-large reseller base was already positive.
“I’d say the majority – around 60 per cent – of our resellers are SMB-oriented,” Hay said. “We’ll be looking to bundle in OEM relationships, and we’ve also launched a dedicated Web portal.”
The opportunity in the market for eScan was strong, Hay said, as it had a relatively small presence in the market previously. Other distributors include NSW-based Impact Systems.
Microbe also maintains a relationship with Kaspersky, but Hay expected minimal conflict between the two vendor solutions.
