    • The markets opened lower on mixed overseas leads and then fought back. It then slipped in the afternoon. At 4pm, the S&P/ASX200 was down 11.6 points at 4661.9.
    • The Aussie dollar was down 1.16 per cent at $US0.9060. Gold prices dropped marginally by $US1.10 to sit at $US1122.7 an ounce while oil prices bounced back gaining $US1.18 to reach US70.7 a barrel.
