CSC nabs $8 million deal

Integrator implements disaster recovery system for the Australian Electoral Commission

IT integrator, CSC, has landed a four-year deal with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

The new agreement stemmed from an existing contract with AEC and will see CSC continue to manage its mainframe together with fellow integrator, DIAC. CSC is also back to manage network communication services and will be implementing a disaster recovery system as part of the new contract.

“CSC has been working with Australia’s federal market for more than 35 years and with the AEC for more than 11 years,” CSC public sector vice-president, Matthew Day, said in a statement. “During the past year, CSC has been awarded multiple contracts within the federal sector and we are well positioned for growth in the Australian federal market.”

The deal is worth $8 million and will run to 2013.
