UC integrator, iVision, has achieved Cisco Authorised Digital Media System Partner status.
The company was already a Cisco gold partner, but the new certification allows it to deploy digital signage solutions on to the network, and link the solution back into its other A/V skills. iVision managing director, Graham Williams, said achieving the status was a significant investment of several hundred thousand dollars. It now has three staff certified as part of the program.
“It’s something our customers have definitely been asking for,” Williams said. “We now believe we’re in the fairly unique position of being an A/V company with Cisco certification, and a Cisco partner with an A/V background.”
The certification follows a trend of bringing A/V and IT closer together, Williams said.
“We see the future as A/V integrating with the network – the lines between the two are becoming blurred,” he claimed.
In August, iVision announced increasing sales had allowed it to grow its workforce by 13 per cent. One of the bigger opportunities it has earmarked for the future is healthcare, which the Government gave it an official tick of approval for in September.
