  • The market rose solidly and rapidly in morning trading aftersolid gains on Wall St. overnight. It then slowly drifted off that peak during the day. At close of trading, the S&P/ASX200 was up 43.4 points at 4762.4..
  • The Aussie dollar is relatively flat despite yesterday’s rate rise thanks to uncertainty about when the next rise will come. It sells for $US0.9256 while gold prices continue to break records at $US1200.2 an ounce. Oil is up by 1.9 per cent to $US78.8 a barrel.
