ADC KRONE Wins Electro-Technology Industry’s Highest Excellence Award

BERKELY VALE – Monday, November 30, 2009 – ADC KRONE (NASDAQ: ADCT; confirmed its status as a world leader in network infrastructure installation and services after the Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence building in QLD won the ‘Data Project of the Year Award’ at the 2009 Electrical and Communications Association Excellence Awards held in Brisbane this month.

<p>The win comes after a lengthy collaboration with The University of Queensland the University Networks group and SDF Electrical for the installation of 7 floors of communications infrastructure in the newly built Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (PACE) building. The PACE building is the vision of the University of Queensland and the Queensland Government to create Australia’s leading facility for biotechnology and bio-therapeutic research and development. It is the southern hemisphere’s most advanced pharmacy teaching and research facilities, including state-of-the-art teaching labs, lecture theatres, offices, a joint University/Hospital library, and a central 360 seat hi-tech auditorium.</p>
<p>“ADC KRONE and the University Networks group spent the past two years developing a standard of excellence in installation practices and procedures built around the writing, implementation and enforcement of our collective communications guidelines,” said Justin White, corporate sales executive for ADC KRONE. “The resulting win is vindication of two years of hard work bringing the right contractors and the right team-orientated approach.”</p>
<p>Manager of the University Networks group, Thomas King indicated that this project was so successful due to the great teamwork displayed from the Property and Facility project manager, Sherron Irwin, SDF Electrical, ADC KRONE and the University Networks group.</p>
<p>Mr King said “The PACE project demonstrates the new standard of telecommunication cabling and associated infrastructure we are going to be deploying in all of our new buildings at the University. The staff involved from ADC KRONE, SDF and UQ can be very proud of their achievements with the PACE project”.</p>
<p>ADC KRONE provided advanced fibre and copper connectivity including dynamic angled patch panels to maximise density in communications rooms and maximise the available floor space. <p>The 2009 ECA Annual awards for excellence encourage and recognise outstanding achievement throughout the electro-technology industry and the PACE project has become the benchmark for all of University of Queensland’s subsequent works and a shining light of the world’s best practice for communications infrastructure installation.</p>
