Epson Stylus Photo 1410

Joining the renowned A4 Stylus Photo R390 and RX590, Epson's latest printing machine offers users vivid A3+ photographic prints. According to the vendor, it offers a combination of image quality, high-speed performance and value in the A3+ category. It can also print a variety of other sizes BorderFree, including 4-inch x 6-inch photos, in High Definition. Aimed at offices and small businesses, the printer serves up a cost efficient option to produce professional-looking catalogues and other materials inhouse without sacrificing high-quality output. The 1410 employs Epson's Claria Ultra High Definition Photographic ink for a wide colour gamut and bright, vivid colours. Claria ink is smudge, scratch and fade resistant. When combined with genuine Epson paper and stored in an album, photos can last up to 200 years, the vendor claims. The Stylus Photo 1410 features six individual Claria ink cartridges: cyan, light cyan, magenta, light magenta, yellow and black. This means users only need to replace the colour that has been used most. The Advanced Variable Sized droplet technology enables the nozzles to fire five different sized droplets as small as 1.5 pico litres and prints at optimised resolutions as high as 5760 x 1440 dpi, resulting in faster printing and improved photo quality. The machine is bundled with Epson's PhotoEnhance software, which produces optimum print levels by automatically adjusting the colour balance to make way for the different requirements of portraits, landscapes or groups. It then enhances images to correct limitations such as poor lighting, exposure and colour casting. The printer has USB Direct Print from digital cameras and Epson's Photo Multimedia viewers, making printing quick and convenient. Once connected via USB, a print menu is displayed on the camera's LCD monitor, enabling users to select the size, number and type of prints required.
