Business intelligence software company ZapTech has been named the exclusive distributor of Casio Soft's MobileLink service in Australia and New Zealand.
The data collection product will address vertical market places, according to ZapTech managing director Matthew Lingard.
"Because of our experience in implementing business intelligence in a number of organisations, we realised many of our clients had problems gathering data from the field," he said, particularly industries such as retail and packaged goods.
Casio Soft is the software development subsidiary of Japan-based Casio Computer. Lingard said ZapTech was looking for a recognised software package that could be easily used on different mobile devices.
In addition to distribution, ZapTech also deals in software, Web development, data warehousing and e-business.
