CSC will this afternoon announce it was the successful tenderer for a lucrative outsourcing contract with the Northern Territory Government.
A CSC spokesperson has confirmed the company won the tender to deliver desktop and LAN support comprehensively across Northern Territory Government agencies.
The tender had recently been short-listed to three providers, IBM GSA, Ipex and CSC. ARN sources indicate the contract could be worth anywhere between $30-$50 million.
The desktop and LAN support contract was one of three tenders offered by the Northern Territory Government, with a panel of around 20 companies winning contracts for non-mainframe projects such as web development and IT Consulting, and DMR consulting winning a contract for mainframe systems maintenance.
Conditional to a successful tender for these contracts is the requirement of the winner to engage NT's local industry in its delivery of the services. ARN will report CSC's official announcement upon its release.
