CA beefs up Australian team with Queensland appointment

<p>Brisbane, 11 November 2009 – CA (NASDAQ: CA) has today announced the appointment of Tom Garske to the position of Queensland Enterprise Account Director for CA Australia &amp; New Zealand. Garske’s appointment comes as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to its key enterprise accounts across the state.</p>
<p>A role previously split between Queensland and New South Wales, Garske will now focus entirely on Queensland. In this position, he will work with direct sales specialists and provide support for personnel and CA partners as well as the company’s Queensland customers.</p>
<p>Vice President and Area Manager for CA Pacific, Brenton Smith believes that this appointment marks a turning point for the company’s presence in the state.</p>
<p>“CA has a very strong customer base in Queensland and Tom’s appointment really highlights our commitment there. We are confident that his experience and full time Queensland base will be of great value for our customers and partners.”</p>
<p>Garske has worked in the IT industry for over 13 years, with the last three-and-a-half at CA in various sales, consulting, solutions architect and advisory roles. In these positions he focused on understanding his customer’s business, and assisted them with their goals and objectives by utilising CA Solutions.</p>
<p>Prior to CA, Garske held roles focused on Account Management, sales and consulting, most recently with Dimension Data. He has also worked with British Telecom and Australian Defence. Garske played an instrumental role in starting up a local subsidiary of a Norwegian company.</p>
<p>Garske holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Newcastle and is a member of the Australian Computer Society, ISACA and (ISC)2.</p>
