  • The markets started well but fell sharply just before lunch with NAB announcing a 43 per cent drop in profits. At 12:58pm, the S&P/ASX200 was down 41.4 points
  • The Aussie dollar continues to fall slightly and is buying $US0.9146. Gold is down to $1035.4 an ounce while oil prices have risen slightly to $79.6 a barrel
