EPiServer touches down in Sydney

Web content management vendor looks to ramp up its local presence and says it is focused 100 per cent on channel

Web content management vendor, EPiServer, has opened an Australian office as it seeks to grow its partner network.

The Swedish vendor has already seen some success in the region, with three existing partners and a customer base that includes Museum Victoria, Diabetes Australia, Assa Abloy and Perth Zoo.

EPiServer country manager, Australia and New Zealand, Andreas Stjernström, said the primary purpose of the new Sydney-based office was to improve the vendor’s engagement with its channel and customers in the local region.

EPiServer is 100 per cent channel oriented, Stjernström said, but having the ability to directly get in touch with end customers will be of benefit as the vendor looks to capitalise on what is proving to be a lucrative market.

“Over the next couple of years, we’d be looking to find 20-30 partners, with our main targets being Web agencies and systems integrators,” Stjernström said. “Anybody having something published on the Internet is a potential customer of ours, but we’re finding good traction with media houses in Europe, financial institutions in New Zealand and local Government in Sweden.”

Stjernström started to set-up the organisation locally in June.
