Avaya selects Distribution Central as Distributor in New Zealand

SYDNEY, October 20 , 2009 – Avaya today announced that it has chosen Distribution Central as one of its key distributor’s in New Zealand as part of the company’s new high touch channel centric strategy to expand the Avaya’s footprint in key markets.

<p>Distribution Central is a specialist IT distributor with operations in both Australia and New Zealand and has been working with Avaya in Australia for the past 9 months. The appointment will see Distribution Central taking responsibility for the distribution of Avaya’s Unified Communications and Contact Center technologies in New Zealand while Agile will remain Avaya’s key partner focused on growing the customer base across ANZ.</p>
<p>“We are committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers around the globe and have developed a new channel centric strategy to make this happen”, said Rob Wells, Avaya ANZ managing director “Working with Distribution Central as our distributor and Agile as our major partner in New Zealand enables us to both consolidate our existing relationships and broaden our offering and support to multi-vendors”.</p>

We have already had significant success with Avaya building technical and marketing services and improving the efficiency in operations into the channel in Australia and we are looking forward to replicating this in New Zealand”</p>

<p>With this new relationship in New Zealand, Avaya has also announced that it is consolidating its existing relationship with Agile as its channel partner.</p>
