Security and compliance company, e-Sentinel, has cemented an exclusive partnership with software vendor, Idappcom, for its Traffic IQ Pro auditing tool.
e-Sentinel, a consulting firm and distributor, will be in charge of the product’s distribution in the Australasian region. The automated auditing and penetration testing software has been around for over a decade. e-Sentinel founder, David Levi, said he had a longstanding relationship with the original creators of the program which lead to the deal with Idappcom.
While Traffic IQ has been around for some time, Levi felt the current economic climate was finally right for the product as companies were now seeking more cost-effective alternatives for compulsory security compliance and auditing.
“My feeling of the product is the market hasn’t been right for it until about now,” Levi said. “It is a product that is way ahead of its time and now that it has been out there, it is a matured product and I feel the market is ready to accept such an advanced tool.”
Despite already carrying similar software from vendors like Assuria, Traffic IQ’s ease-of-use is being sold as its biggest differentiator. Levi hoped the new addition to the portfolio would add a horde of names to e-Sentinel’s reseller list.
“The Idappcom product is very easy to use, whereas some of the other compliance tools are very technical, so there is a bit more market appeal to all those smaller niche players,” he said. “We are quite happy to bring on another 30 resellers – the Australian market is not particularly large in security resellers, but if we find that number of quality resellers, that would be fantastic.”
Levi expected the product to generate a 35 per cent sales revenue boost.
