  • The market performed strongly all day thanks to a flood of foreign cash seeking local security following yesterday’s rate rise and gold stocks. At close of trading, the S&P/ASX200 was up 104.1 points at 4695.7.
  • The dollar is down on yesterday’s surge, but not by much at $US0.8886. Gold is trading higher at $US1039.7 an ounce while oil is also up at $US70.9 a barrel
