<p>Through Boost Zircon aims to grow business by 300% in next three years</p>
<p>Sydney, Tuesday, February 1, 2005 – Zircon is making a market comeback under new management with a 100% indirect business model and a membership program, Boost.</p>
<p>Purchased by Nexon with the intent of achieving nationwide coverage for a channel-driven business, Zircon aims to grow business by 300% in three years. It will achieve this by setting up a virtual sales team across Australia, with agents and members acting on its behalf.</p>
<p>Zircon will have access to an entire portfolio of products and services, professional services, integration and managed services to program members. What makes Zircon different is its complete offering and ability to offer a combined voice and data solution. While Zircon is a 100% channel driven business, it intends to leverage Nexon’s relationships with major voice and data vendors, such as Alcatel.</p>
<p>Zircon is looking for a wide range of integrators and IT &amp; telephony consultants, with retail, medical and security systems segments well suited to its offerings.</p>
<p>Kosta Doukas, national channel manager for Zircon, said, “We are not limiting our offering to an internet connection with other applications thrown in. We encourage members to take a holistic approach to their customers needs and we can help them to provide that.</p>
<p>“This means members can offer an entire managed service without having to set up a costly infrastructure or bring in extra resources to make it happen. For example, a member can offer a new telephony system complete with a private VPN, managed security, dedicated broadband connections and professional services.</p>
<p>“To set this up themselves takes people on the ground, long-established vendor relationships and an infrastructure and backbone, time and money. We can provide all that instantly for them.”</p>
<p>Charles Assaf, managing director for Nexon, said, “Zircon members are not only able to reap the rewards of being a member, they are also able to leverage our relationships. For example, the Zircon channel will add many more sales agents on the ground for our Alcatel voice business, to help generate more sales and revenue. As an Alcatel Premium partner, Nexon will maintain responsibility for implementation. Members benefit as they receive commission and have the solution fully implemented by a professional services team.”</p>
<p>In conjunction with the launch, Zircon has announced its member program, Boost. After researching the market, including current partners, companies are looking for: competitive pricing, support and training.</p>
<p>“To streamline the process, a comprehensive and dedicated website is being launched so members can provide quotes, download material and submit orders. This helps to provide a 24-hour service and support function that many members require.”</p>
<p>The site,, which will be live later this week, will also evolve over time depending on members needs.</p>
<p>Nexon launched its channel program in mid 2003. It currently has 60 resellers. Zircon is looking for a wide range of resellers to join Boost and grow their own businesses and offerings at the same time. Nexon resellers will be transitioned to the Zircon program in the next three months.</p>
