Victorian distributor Pineapplehead has begun shipping Miglia Director's Cut Take 2 analog-to-digital conversion box. The Take 2 can also convert digital signals to analog, letting users output their finished work to everything from video cassettes to DVD-R discs. The box requires a FireWire connection to work, but also features composite, S-video and sound-in/out connections to add to the Take 2's versatility. It requires no drivers, and works instantaneously on Macs, Windows PCs and any other operating system. Director's Cut is ideal for archiving large amounts of VHS footage on optical discs, for converging video material from different sources - such as combining analog and digital streams into one film - or for DVD authoring, allowing users to combine different angles of the same footage.
The Miglia Director's Cut Take 2 carries a retail price of $1,199, excluding editing software.
