State of the market

  • The S&P/ASX200 continued yesterday’s slump in morning trading and was down by more than 50 points before staging a strong recovery in the afternoon to end the day up 12.1 points at 4713.3
  • The Aussie dollar has also dipped to $US0.8641. Gold is trading down 1.53 per cent at $US998.9 an ounce while oil has dropped to $US65.9 a barrel
