International networking distributor Westcon has localised a worldwide distribution agreement with Finnish-based manufacturer Nokia to supply the vendor's products in Australia and New Zealand.
The agreement, which has just been given the nod in Australia, will see Westcon distribute the vendor's range of IP security products under Nokia's Internet Communications (NIC) division.
On offer will be Nokia's range of routers, which are traditionally bundled with a CheckPoint Firewall to provide network security and VPN services for large enterprises. The move bolster's Westcon's security range and sees it join Express Data as an authorised Nokia distributor.
In addition, the announcement could see Westcon-owned subsidiary LAN Systems also offer Nokia's security range. However Nokia flatly denied this is a possibility.
