Intel has made a substantial marketing push to get Australian small businesses to buy from local resellers.
The pizza box campaign involves a direct mail send-out to 47,000 small businesses throughout the country.
Intel aims to remind SMBs they can leverage the expertise and understanding of local resellers, rather than source products and services from offshore or online.
“We’ll be rewarding those small businesses with access to online info and a free pizza,” Intel area sales manager, reseller channel organisation, Thomas Tapsas, said.
“We wanted a fun way to put small businesses in touch with resellers.”
Intel has also built a new online initiative allowing its channel partners to build a page to advertise to potential customers.
“There are thousands of resellers in the channel – SMBs need to understand how to approach their technology requirements, and resellers can help with that,” Tapsas said.
“Small businesses are a market where the channel is strong, so we see this as a good area of opportunity.”
