HP appoints new channel boss

Ross takes up the Solutions Partner Organisation reins

HP has appointed Belinda Ross as the new chief of Solutions Partner Organisation (SPO) to oversee its channel operations. She replaces Paul Robson, who took up the Enterprise Servers and Storage director’s post in February.

According to an HP statement, Ross will be responsible for partner-led engagements across the vendor’s commercial and SMB segments for both its Personal Systems Group (PSG) and Imaging and Printing Group.

Ross has been with HP for several years and was most recently channel sales manager across PSG. She was recruited to Compaq in 2000 as a partner business management and took over channel marketing in 2005.

Ross has a history in the local channel and distribution community and previously assisted Sydney-based distributor, Simms International, to expand its presence into Melbourne.
