CA has made three key sales appointments for the Asia-Pacific region as it seeks greater regional channel engagement.
The vendor has promoted Jim Fisher to the role of vice-president, regional channel sales, to replace Nick Ellis, who has returned to the vendor’s US office.
Sydney-based Fisher joined CA in 2000 following its acquisition of Sterling Software, and during his time with the vendor has held roles in marketing and sales operations for the region.
His initial focus will be to continue to build the vendor’s channel engagement within the region, especially in China and South East Asia.
“Asia-Pacific and Japan is enormous, and we made the decision a few years ago to be completely channel orientated in China and South East Asia. Because it’s such a big region it requires a lot of interaction with the channel,” he said.
CA has also appointed Stephen Miles as its vice-president of solutions sales for the region, in which he will drive line-of-business sales with a focus on telecommunications operators and carriers. He will be based in Singapore.
Finally, Vicki Batka has been appointed as senior director of channel sales. Also to be based in Singapore, Batka will head up the vendor’s recovery management and data modelling business in Asia-Pacific.
