Outback channel personality Mathew Dickerson has decided to sacrifice his luscious locks in the name of charity as part of the Cancer Council's latest fund-raising event, Relay for Life, which is being held in Dubbo on September 28.

Network consultant for Dubbo-based reseller Axxis Technology, and author of ARN's popular three-part Outback Reseller Series in which he provided a country town reseller's perspective on Microsoft's Fusion 2002 partner event, Dickerson is earning himself a reputation for helping others.

Held in over 20 communities across NSW this year, Relay for Life is an outdoor 24-hour event where teams of 10-15 people take turns to run or walk around a local oval to honour those who have had their lives touched by cancer. The event also involves a number of fundraising initiatives such as the head-shaving, which is fast becoming a rite of passage for philanthropically minded resellers.

Dickerson invites channel players and vendors to get involved by either organising a collective dome shaving for their companies' employees or by making a donation to Dickerson's attempt to ascertain just what shape his head is.

All industry sponsorship of Dickerson will be recognised by ARN as will similar exploits where photos are supplied to us.

In fact this page is here to demonstrate and celebrate the good deeds and good parties undertaken by the channel.

Visit to make a pledge or contact Dickerson at Axxis Technology on (02) 6884 6884 if you want to support his close shave.
