Co-location Web hosting specialist Enet21 is looking to strike up deals with white-box assemblers and general IT dealers to bundle hardware solutions with Web hosting solutions.
Enet21 is a Sydney-based company that offers co-location hosting services from third-party data centres in Sydney and Melbourne. The company sells a range of services such as monitoring, operating system management and incident response. Each of these services can be sold individually or as part of a complete hosting package.
Sales manager Lee Campbell-Smith believes that hosting services, particularly where each component of the service can be broken down and sold separately, will prove to be an attractive value-add to companies that market server hardware.
"For anyone who sells rack-mountable hardware, the chances are these units are eventually going to be hosted somewhere," he said. "We are keen to talk to any OEM or dealer that wants to offer some value-add."
Enet21 is in discussions with several hardware providers at present, but has only finalised and secured one deal it can make public. Its first hardware partner is ComputerDisposals.com.au, a dealer that offers discounted hardware over the Web.
The exact arrangements for any such bundling agreement are flexible, he said. If a hardware manufacturer or dealer onsells Enet21 services, they can earn a significant margin. Enet21 will also offer commissions to dealers that simply recommend the hosting company's services. Interested parties are asked to seek more information at www.enet21.com.au.
