Storage software vendor, Acronis, has hired Lachlan Everett as its business development manager to provide support for its partner channel.
In this newly created role, Everett will be implementing clearer processes to manage business leads provided to channel partners. He will aim to ensure that the qualifications of all leads are of a standard that will generate the maximum amount of revenue and will aid partners in closing their Acronis business deals.
Acronis general manager, Bill Taylor-Mountford, said the company decided to bring Everett onboard after experiencing rapid growth in the first half year.
“Our new business development manager will be talking to partners and customers that buy the product,” he said. “We have around 260 partners across the country so there are a lot of sales people representing our product and Everett will help them understand how it works, how to put it together and how it can benefit the customer.”
Having been in the IT industry for the last six years, Everett moved to Acronis from his previous post as business development manager at StayinFront. He has also worked in sales positions at various software vendors including Symantec and Trend Micro.
