Expert Information Services is the first Australian company to become appointed a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program for security solutions.
The Melbourne-based software integrator and services company is the 23rd company of only 32 companies worldwide to have been awarded this level of security certification from Microsoft.
Certified partners receive benefits such as early access to software, marketing and sales tools and resources, and priority referrals. Certification also offers customers the means to identify those companies that are committed to high industry standards in building and maintaining solutions, according to Calum Russell, Microsoft's solution market manager, IT infrastructure.
Obtaining membership in the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program requires meeting strict and objective competency requirements. Companies in the program have surpassed the benchmarks set by Microsoft and have proved their ability to architect, develop, deploy and manage security solutions.
"Expert's membership in the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Program in security is a first for Australia, signifying the beginning of what we are confident will be a benchmark for security solutions," said Russell. "Microsoft is already looking forward to welcoming other Australian companies into the partner program."
Microsoft's Gold Certified Partner Program for security solutions was announced in December 2001 and is the ninth category in the Gold Partner Program, which now boasts about 900 members worldwide.
