Ingram, Avaya celebrate union

After recently announcing the addition of Avaya to its vendor line-up, Ingram Micro and Avaya kicked off the relationship with hosted functions in Sydney and Melbourne last month which attracted over 150 guests.

The funky bars - POSH Lounge at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney and The Prince Hotel in St Kilda - were brought to life by the sounds of a Brazilian band and guests were entertained by video highlights of the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

The events gave Avaya the opportunity to communicate its recent success as official sponsor of the World Cup and talk about its position as supplier of the world's largest IP network. The night enabled guests to learn more about Avaya's products, but more importantly, allowed the staff to get to know each other informally.

Both Steve Rust, MD of Ingram Micro Australia, and Carlton Taya, MD of Avaya, joined the partygoers to celebrate the new partnership.
