Microsoft debuts its Dynamic POS 2009

The software vendor unveils its point of sale product

Microsoft Corp has released its Microsoft Dynamics POS 2009, a point of sale product that boasts new user features and customisation.

The POS 2009 allows access to customer purchase history, software development allowing multi-channel and mobility, and real time inventory access and management.

There is also a security-enhanced payment processing feature to protect customers’ card information with support for the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council industry standards and guidelines.

In a statement, the vendor claimed the product will interoperate easily with other Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft SQL Services and Microsoft Office.

POS 2009 has a customisable interface that can be personalised for specific roles and individuals. It also supports the creation of custom buttons for common tasks that are optimised for touch screens.

The Microsoft Dynamics POS 2009 is available for order by local resellers from distributor, POS partners.
