BT Group has been awarded Cisco Gold certified partner status in Australia.
According to a statement released by BT Group, the company had to meet personnel, training, customer satisfaction, specialisation and post-sales requirements set by Cisco.
The Cisco website describes the award as offering “the highest level of branding, economic incentives differentiation as a reward for loyalty to Cisco”.
It means BT can offer the latest Cisco products and have better access to Cisco technical support teams, access to the joint marketing fund builder as well as more marketing and training materials.
As part of the requirements for Gold partner statuses, BT will be operating a 24/7 technical services and has specially retrained 30 extra staff.
In May, BT Group was forced to cut 15,000 jobs as part of its cost-savings program.
