State of the market

  • Morning trading fluctuated following positive gains on Wall St and yesterday’s negative movement on Australian banks. As of 11:30am, the market was up 19.4 points. Over lunch this figure dropped slightly and at 2.20pm was up 13.8 points.
  • The Aussie dollar continues its steady growth and stands at $US0.8142. Gold is down slightly to $US946.9 an ounce. Oil prices have slowly risen to $US64.7 a barrel.
