ComOps has snagged a contract with engineering plastics company, Dotmar Group, to implement an integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business intelligence solution.
Dotmar approached the business software and services provider five months ago and will be employing ComOps’ UNIBIS ERP and BI solution. The aim is to provide clarity for the company’s manufacturing, distribution and accounting processes across the board. This includes modules for accounts payable, inventory management and order entry. The current software packaged, which Dotmar has outgrown, will be displaced.
In a press statement, Dotmar COO, Denis Matulin, said the vendor was chosen for its track record and simple product solutions.
The contract is for purchasing of the perpetual software licence as well as upgrades and annual maintenance. Initial work will concentrate on building back-end systems, master files, databases and mapping. A completion date is yet to be set but the vendor expects to wrap up the deployment, which will first be tested, by early next year.
ComOps director of solutions marketing, Cameron Brown, said this was the start of a long term relationship with the customer and ranked the deal as one of the top five largest projects so far this year. He could not disclose the contract value.
