As a person who has had heated arguments over XP versus Vista, I understand there is a fiery passion in many Microsoft Windows users when it comes to the operating system. The prolific Microsoft flagship product has made the vendor a household name and has dominated the OS market for as long as I can remember.

But while this formidable dynasty has produced some endearing gems, it has also popped out some disappointing shockers. Which particular ones fall into which category is, of course, a subjective matter. But in this week’s ARN Product Wars, we want to know which one is the overall favourite.

We want to know: Which is the best Microsoft Windows operating system?

The contenders are: Windows 3.1, 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP and Vista.
