MasterChef: The channel's winning cook

The channel has a champ.

Julie Goodwin has won the final of the national phenomenon that is MasterChef.

And, as strange as it sounds, the channel was involved. Now it is celebrating!

In the final Julie beat her rival, Po Ling Yeow, in all three challenges, eventually winning by seven points, 82-75.

Goodwin is the sales and marketing director for Gosford-based Loyal IT services – a consultancy firm with partners including Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, Symantec, HP and D-link.

Clients include Gosford City Council, Robson Excavations, Job Centre Australia, Koala Publishing, Parkwood Homes, Ettalong Beach War Memorial Club and TBA Financial Services.

Goodwin’s profile on the website has the caveat of information: “Julie enjoys cooking, reading and music.” That is an understatement, considering some of the amazing dishes that she has turned out over the course of the show!

ARN congratulates Goodwin on her victory. We are all looking forward getting our hands on her cookbook and, perhaps, visiting the little restaurant she hopes to open on the central coast.

Fellow contestant, Justine Schofield, who was eliminated earlier this week, was also involved in IT as a sales and marketing executive for Zylotech prior to joining the show.
