Panasonic has released its RR-US570, 550 and 510 digital voice recorders, incorporating advanced features and built-in 3x zoom microphone.
According to the company, zoom microphone technology allows users to capture sound and volume equivalent to recording from a point three times closer to the subject. The low noise amplifier also helps eliminate surrounding noise and distortion.
The slim design units use a front panel, one-handed operation for easy control. A voice activated system, which begins recording as soon as sound is detected and pauses during silences, can eliminate wasted hard drive space. The RR-US570, RR-US550 and RR-US510 offer 1GB, 512MB and 128MB of storage respectively.
All the recorders utilise MP3 format and USB connectivity. This permits storage of data files and images and playback of the music. File transfer can be done across both Mac and PC. The unit’s battery can record for up to 45 hours on AAA batteries.
The vendor’s new range is available from consumer electronics retailers. The RR-US570 costs $229 while the RR-US550 and RR-US510 retails at $189 and $149 respectively.
