Salesforce.com upgrades with iPhone

New features to help mobile users of the cloud providers' services

Salesforce.com has continued to build on its mobile capabilities with an update to its CRM Mobile application.

The new application allows users to cut, copy and paste text from emails and text messages directly into the CRM, clone records to allow users to save on typing, a new date-indexed calendar-like events interface and custom filters.

Users will also be able to create custom mobile links on any object in Salesforce CRM – allow them to link from an account directly to a Yahoo! news site with the latest news about a company or link to a custom Visualforce page to show all related contacts and their images.

The Salesforce CRM Mobile application also allows users to have custom Force.com applications on the iPhone or iPod touch. It is available as a free download from Apple’s App Store, and is expected to exceed 100,000 downloads in July 2009.
