NetSuite forms suite partnership with JCurve

The collaboration will see NetSuite power JCurve's cloud-based small business management software package

NetSuite has teamed up with newly formed independent software vendor (ISV), JCurve Solutions, to take an Internet-based hosted service suite to the small business market.

The ISV was established in April to become a NetSuite partner.

“We have used the vendor’s technology to create a brand new product,” JCurve CEO, Daniel Perry, said. “We have developed an IP with Netsuite and pre-bundled an addition of its solution to make the product affordable to Australian and New Zealand customers.”

JCurve for Small Business is a business management system for customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) and e-commerce functionality designed for businesses with 5-20 staff.

The ISV claimed the software bundle simplified business operations by eliminating the need to run multiple databases. The cloud-based delivery means reduced cost in IT equipment expenditure.

The suite is well-suited to stock management companies as well as organisations which operate from several different locations.

“We looked at the marketplace and there were 500,000 businesses which employed 5-20 people and NetSuite only had a small portion of that space,” Perry said. “In the next five years, if we can achieve one per cent market share, that’s 5000 customers which is a significant opportunity.”

Part of JCurve’s long-term strategy is to customise the product, which can be combined with third-party solutions, into vertical packages for niche markets. The company has already sourced and integrated a Payroll offering and is considering other solutions such as productivity tools.

As a result of this deal, the ISV is also seeking reseller partners with an existing small business clientele.

“Our go-to-market strategy over the next five years is to develop a strong channel reseller community,” Perry said. “They will advise customers and we will support them to sell this solution to their customers.”

Since the channel program is still in development, Perry was unable to specify an accreditation scheme as well as number of resellers JCurve is looking to take on. Details will be announced within the next three to six months.

In a statement, NetSuite, which is mainly focused on mid-size organisations, said this collaboration allowed the company to provide small business users easy access to the company’s reputable products.
