Specialist systems administration product distributor Infotronics has signed an exclusive deal for the distribution of Imagos' WebReporter product.
WebReporter is a data reporting and analysis tool for the SME market, developed in Sydney by a team of seven Imagos developers. It comes in two versions, one for WinRoute analysis ($199) and a version that covers a variety of common firewall and Web server packages ($950). The second version reports and analyses WinRoute firewall, mail, proxy and dial logs, Microsoft IIS W3C and other common Web server transaction logs, Microsoft FTP Server transaction logs, IMS Mail Server and SICA IMS traffic logs. The product is based on Windows COM and C++ technology and reports the traffic in charts under various formats, including HTML.
The distribution deal is expected to generate up to $1 million for the partners in regional sales during this year. Although the deal is exclusive to Infotronics in Australia, Imagos Consulting general manager Neville Richards said he was looking at non-Australian distribution deals to attack the global market.
Infotronics distributes software through to a dealer network of around 250 system integrators, ISPs, ASPs and system builders rather than the traditional retail channel. The WebReporter product was a logical step for the company, as it supports Infotronics best-selling product, WinRoute.
