Mobility and printer vendor, Intermec, has created a specialist printer partner program to enhance its channel capabilities.
The Intermec Printer Service Partner program (IPSP) offers partners greater financial incentives than previously available, and authorises them to provide support to customers.
“This is something our partners have been requesting for a while now,” managing director, Tony Repaci, said. “Intermec made the decision to increase focus on the printer products range a while back, which brought about this program.
“We offer a variety of general product programs, but this is the first to focus specifically on printers.”
The program will cover both desktop and portable printer solution offerings, and there are currently six partners across A/NZ.
“We’ll be looking to add partner programs based on geographies,” Repaci said. “We have a few partners in mind, and will be looking at Adelaide, Perth and regional Victoria and NSW next.”
The IPSP program is the first product-specific program to be offered by the vendor, but will not be the last, Repaci said.
“In our Q4, which is around October and November, we’re looking to launch a handheld unit program for our mobility partners,” he said.
