Data protection and management vendor, CommVault, has made a formal play into the managed services space with the launch of a new program.
Called CommValue and initially announced two months ago, it offers partners a streamlined method for engaging with customers with educational services resources. Additionally it offers access to CommVault Support and includes a services methodology designed to help with the implementation of the vendor's Simpana software.
CommVault regional managing director, Gerry Sillars, said it was the first program the vendor had built for the managed services space.
“The program is aimed at opening new ways to market for us,” he said. “It’s an area projected to grow to as much as 20 per cent of the market by 2011, and we’re hoping our program uptake can grow broadly in line with that.”
The vendor has dedicated two staff to the program as it hopes to gain incremental business growth.
