Emerson Network Power Expands Distribution Agreement With MCS

 • 14 May, 2009 09:25

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, has expanded its distribution agreement with Adelaide-based Mission Critical Systems (MCS).

As part of the deal, MCS will now distribute the complete range of Emerson Network Power products, including Liebert computer room air conditioning (CRAC) and power UPS products, Knurr racks, monitoring equipment and ASCO transfer switches.

Until recently, MCS only distributed Emerson’s single-phase UPS products and its Liebert precision air conditioning systems.

Scott Traver heads up MCS, and says the deal will open up new market opportunities for both companies across South Australia.

“MCS has traditionally supplied Emerson air conditioning and small UPS systems,” says Traver. “Now resellers can get their medium-to-large Emerson UPS backup power systems, as well as racking and monitoring equipment, from one distributor.”

Emerson Network Power Australia Managing Director David Scott says resellers are increasingly looking to build strong relationships with a trusted source, not only for economies of scale, but also for peace of mind in a competitive economy.
“MCS has a strong relationship with Emerson, so this was the logical next step for us,” says Scott. “It allows MCS to provide all the power and cooling products a reseller would need, from the smallest computer room to the largest data centre.”
